We, Schreinerei Kurzmann, designed and manufactured lounge furniture for a customer project. For this furniture, we needed upholstered furniture with fairly precise specifications. I wanted curtains in the stairwell to act as thermal barriers for the wood-burning stove on the ground floor. They were intended to separate the stairwell from the upper floors and also to block the handrail in the middle of the stairs, preventing cold air from the attic from reaching the ground floor. The curtains would therefore need to have panels attached to close off the handrail. Not a standard, run-of-the-mill solution, but I was willing to pay more for it. With Bernard Weis Interior Design, I found the perfect partner for my renovation. My wooden floors were cleaned and refinished, the stairs sanded and oiled, new baseboards installed, the wallpaper removed, the walls repaired and lined with non-woven wallpaper, so I now have beautiful white walls without having to replaster. The walls, radiators, and doors were also repainted. I was able to choose my new vinyl flooring and curtains from their showroom. And it was all done by one company.
